COVID Safety Plan – 16 June 2020

Looking forward to seeing everyone this Thursday evening as training commences again for 2020. There will be a few changes to keep us all safe. Attached is the first of possibly a number of safety plans and instruction.

The bonus is that Hockey Tasmania has reduced registration fees for the season and if you have already paid there will be a refund.

This information applies for all trainings at Meercroft Park

It is a requirement by the Devonport Hockey Club that all players are registered with Hockey Tasmania by the end of June.

2020 Devonport Hockey Club trainings will be on a Thursday night.

Please do not attend if you are unwell or have any flu like symptoms. If not coming please notify your coach or team group.

Juniors players: 5:45 – 7:00pm

Senior players: 7:00 – 8.15pm

Entry and exit to the ground will only be from the gate on the eastern end of the southern grandstand.

Juniors please note that it will be preferred if only one parent/adult accompany any children into the ground for training sessions or with collection post training.

There will be no change rooms open for use. Toilets will be accessed from the eastern end of the building only.

On arrival to the ground everyone will be required to wash hands or use hand sanitiser, then register and answer the screening questions. This will be taken by an appointed responsible COVID person for each team.

All players will need to arrive ready to train and bring their own equipment required for training, including a light and dark coloured shirt. Balls and cones will be provided for each team. They will be cleaned at the end of each training in accordance with the guidelines (using hot soapy water).

Trainings will be in accordance with the guidelines with groups of no larger than 20 people per each quarter of the ground remembering to maintain social distancing.

Under 13’s to the western end
Under 17’s to the eastern end

Senior Women to the western end
Senior Men to the eastern end

The juniors will need to have packed up and left the ground before any seniors are to enter the turf ground. On leaving the ground you will then exit the complex promptly.

On completion of trainings a COVID responsible person will be required to do a simple clean of surfaces in the toilets. Buckets with equipment and instructions cards will be available.
