New Executive Committee for 2023

Thank you to those members who attended our AGM on 31 October and helped to shape the Executive Committee for the coming year.

Our strategic plan 2023-2033 identified the structure of the club needed to change, and the Executive Committee is now a group of six members, that provide off field leadership to help the club rebuild player numbers and ensure the success of the club.

Your new committee is as follows:
• President – Liz Pease
• Vice President – Daniel Ford
• Participation Coordinator – Mick Williams
• Treasurer – Kelly Wainwright
• Club Community Coordinator – Kate Bramich
• Technical Coordinator – Vacant

Mick, Kelly and Kate are requesting expressions of interest for their sub-committees:The participation sub-committee is focused on increasing player numbers. Roles include recruiting coaches to support school hockey programs and run junior hockey clinics, as well as developing programs to target other sources of prospective players.

The financial sub-committee aims to grow our income and make the club low cost to players and remain financially sustainable. Roles include developing sponsorship opportunities and establishing and maintaining contact with the Devonport City Council and other funding bodies.

The club community sub-committee aims to strengthen club community and make DHC a fun, welcoming and inclusive family club. Roles include marketing and communications, events, merchandise/uniforms, and recording club history.

This is a call to action to our club members, past players’ and their families, to contribute in the best way you can to the running of the club. You can volunteer as much or as little time as you want, we need to spread the workload to ensure we are successful in responding to the key challenges facing our club.
